Low stress handling is the newest approach in veterinary medicine. The goal is to help a pet feel comfortable during their visit. The more comfortable the pet is, the easier it is to bring them in the future and the more pleasant the experience for all. We don’t believe in forcing animals to do things against their will. Instead, we utilize a variety of methods to encourage what we want them to do. Sometimes, this includes sedation which is always a great choice when an animal is too stressed for other things. We are happy to meet with you and your pet to tailor our approach to what works for you both.
By educating our clients, we believe we build a partnership with a goal toward improving the health of your pet. We use a variety of methods to help you understand what’s going on so you don’t leave more confused than when you came in. This also helps us tailor our approach to your values and abilities. We strive to explain the short term and long term expectations with each choice. We believe that, by empowering our clients, your pets can receive the best care possible.
