Complete dental care is more than just cleaning teeth

Dentistry

Premier Pet Care performs routine dental treatments and extractions to keep your pet’s mouth healthy. The veterinarian examines your pet’s mouth and determines when dental care is needed. Regular dental care is important to the overall health of your pet which is why when it’s time for a cleaning, we provide that service here. A complete oral health assessment and treatment (COHAT) includes dental scaling, polishing, whole mouth dental x-rays, probing, and, if necessary, extractions. We utilize the best in anesthetic monitoring and medications to keep surgery as safe as possible for your pet. We adhere to the strict AAHA guidelines for monitoring, testing, and surgical management.

All dentistry patients receive:

  • Pre-anesthetic blood work
  • Pre-operative examination by their doctor
  • A personalized anesthetic plan
  • Pre-surgical pain medication
  • Pre-oxygenation and an endotracheal breathing tube
  • IV fluid therapy during the procedure

Whole mouth dental x-rays

Whole-mouth dental x-rays show things going on below the gumline. We often pick up disease that would otherwise go untreated.
